The reborn artists have requested these Delta Stencil Creme paints for coloring their reborn dolls. We like to use them on vintage dolls as well, because the stencil paints are thick and can sometimes fill in chips on blush paint. We have selected four popular stencil paint colors. These come in the half ounce pot. Wedgewood Blue has been discontinued so we will be offering Country Blue instead. We have a few of the Wedgewood in stock, yet. Oil-based, non-toxic Stencil Magic Paint Cremes clean up easily with soap and water and are available in rich and creamy colors. REMOVE THE SKIN. The stencil paints tend to develop a thick skin on top, which is actually paint that has dried. Just remove the skin and you will find creamy paint underneath it. DISCLAIMER. Because reborn methods are experimental, and the craft materials are used differently by each reborn artist, we must make the statement that coloring vinyl dolls is at your own risk. Having said that, we are offering these Delta Stencil Paints which the Reborners have requested because they like using these products on their dolls.

BLUSH COLOR. For those who want to blush their Baby Face dolls, we recommend the PINK CARNATION color. This works well on Baby Face as well as other vintage dolls. I also like to use lipcolors on Baby Face, but when the cheeks are roughed up from playtime with little girls, then the stencil paint is a better choice because it covers. Lipstick is too oily and sheer to be used over scratched vinyl, but stencil paint works pretty good most of the time. The doll on the left has scratches on her cheeks, but you can see that the stencil paint actually makes her cheeks look smooth again. I built up the paint in two or three thin layers, and buffed the edges with a tissue to accomplish this makeover. |
