Paraffin Candles... I use the Liquid Paraffin Candle to heat up my awl when opening noses on Berenguer dolls. These liquid paraffin candles are 99.9% pure paraffin oil and they burn with nearly smokeless heat. For that reason, liquid paraffin is also being used as an alternative for sterno by some restaurants and caterers. These cartridges are the new fangled "disposable" candles. When it's empty, throw it away. Paraffin oil can be very messy to work with, but no longer! Some geniuses solved the problem. Paraffin candles are available in a 10 hour candle size or 30 hour. The 10 hour candles are the same size as a votive and will fit in most votive candleholders. The flame is adjustable. Just use a pliers to pull the wick out a little bit more than it is. The paraffin oil will not last as long if you do that. A 10 hour candle will burn for a shorter time.
