Replacement Lashes for Baby Crissy
or Other Vintage Dolls

NEW!! We now offer an ultra thick, long black lash set for repairing sleep eyes that are missing lashes. We are still experimenting with methods, and we like the results so far.

The photo above shows Baby Crissy eyes wearing these new lashes. One eye is from a doll that has original lashes, the other eye is from a doll with replaced lashes. Can you tell which is which?

Here is another photo with a better angle. Our Sweet Sue doll did not have any lashes. You can see that her eyes look very pretty now. The replacements are not as thick as her original brush lashes, but they're still very pretty.

The only other way we know of for replacing lashes is to cut bristles off of a large black paintbrush (the kind you paint the house with), dip them in glue, and poke the bristles through the slot where the lashes are. I've done it: sometimes this method works fine - but I can also give you a long list of things that can go wrong. And sometimes it's impossible to do it at all. So, I'm very pleased with our "Lush Lash" solution because it's easy and attractive.

These are synthetic lashes that are 'specially made for PrillyCharmin's doll shop. They are not cosmetic grade lashes, so don't use them for yourself.

PrillyCharmin's LUSH LASHES have an invisible band as a base... there is no black adhesive or ugly stuff that you need to hide. These lashes can be applied directly to the doll eyeball or eyelid, with glue that dries clear (such as Aleene's craft glue or Elmer's Household glue) and all you will be able to see are the lashes, not the base that they are tied to.

NOTE!! Do not use superglue to attach these lashes: it will damage the doll's eye. Be sure to read our instructions, below. Don't use Elmer's School glue either because it's not waterproof and it's very wimpy glue. Elmer's Household Glue is a very good craft adhesive.

VINTAGE DOLLS... I use these lashes to fill in the missing lashes on vintage dolls. They can be used to fill in gaps or to replace the entire lash strip on the sleeping eyes. I insert the lash strip in the lash slot if possible, using a bit of craft glue to secure them. Otherwise, just glue the lash along the slot if you can't actually push it in the slot. After the glue is dry, trim the lashes to the correct length. These lashes are so lush that they do make suitable replacements for the bristle lashes on sleepy eyes.
