The PVC bolt is fairly soft, so when you screw the handle onto the bolt, don't force it. If you meet some resistance, back up immediately and try again. If you try to force it, the threads will strip.

We selected PVC because it is much softer on the fingers than nylon. Nylon bolts tend to have sharp edges and can make your fingers raw from working with it. If your PVC bolt becomes damaged, we are willing to replace it once, free of charge. Just send in the damaged bolt and we will mail you a new one.

If the needle "bounces" a bit while you are rooting, you can push a small piece of fabric (such as felt) into the bottom of the shaft inside the red knob. This will eliminate any play or wobble in the needle.

SHIPPING COST FOR SMALL ITEMS: If you only order the Felting Needles, they will be shipped by first class or priority mail (as specified on our Shopping Cart) depending on the quantity and value of the package. The shipping cost will be at a reduced rate. IF YOU SELECT ADDITIONAL ITEMS THE PACKAGE WILL BE SHIPPED AT REGULAR UPS RATES. I've tried to offer a low, first class shipping option in the Shopping Cart, but some people will select the first class postage rate for huge boxes of items (which is absurd) so I apologize if the shipping rates end up looking high for small items. We DO adjust the costs if you only order a pattern or felting needles.
