English Mohair, Processed & Dyed

Genuine dyed English mohair in beautiful human hair colors! Appropriate for rooting reborn dolls or replacing hair on vintage dolls such as the old compo or hard plastics.

There were very few vintage vinyl dolls that used mohair for rooting. Horsman did root one of their 1950's vinyl dolls with mohair and said she had "poodle hair."

This mohair has short fibers and is not appropriate for re-rooting the Blythe dolls. We do not have long fiber mohair in stock at this time.

Our genuine English mohair selections are pre-packaged in 1 ounce bags, convenient for reborn rooting. Length will vary: mohair pieces are approximately 12 inches long. Most reborn artists can root several doll heads with one ounce of mohair fiber. (If you need a longer length for wig-making, inquire by email.)

If you prefer to dye your own mohair colors, the Platinum color is not dyed so it is a good choice.
