Girl Friday Dress Premier
These vintage dresses were made in the 1960's by the Premier Doll Company. Premier was a jobber that made clothes and accessories for many doll companies. They also sold their doll clothing and jewelry direct through stores such as Ben Franklin, Woolworth and Kresge.
This interesting gown is featured in one of the old dolls books as one of the dresses for Uneeda's Dollikin dolls. I'm not sure it really was made for the 19" Dollikins, but it does fit them very well. One of our Uneeda fashion dolls is modeling the dress, above.
We call this our "Girl Friday" dress, because it looks appropriate for secretarial or business or school. Our Horsman Couturier Cindy doll is modeling, now.
The dress fits Crissy very well. It's a teeny bit snug over her windup knob but it does fit. The sleeves are a nice length for all these fashion dolls.
The chest measurement of the dress is 12 inches all the way around, just under the armpits. The length from neck to hem in front is 6.25 inches.
These are cotton or cotton blend dresses. They are perfect for vintage fashion dolls of the 50's and 60's. All dresses are perfectly clean and in new condition, but they may require some ironing.
