This page offers the iron on transfers that are needed for the Charlie outfit. Included are one Boy-O-Boy logo in blue, red & yellow for the front of the shirt, as well as a smaller logo for his sailor hat. The Boy-O-Boy logo is my own custom design and may not be duplicated.

HOW TO MAKE THE APPLIQUE: iron the transfer to cotton doublelock knit or white pellon fabric or other white fabrics that won't ravel. Iron the fabric first to warm it up and using a hot iron, press the transfer to the fabric, paper side up. You will need to hold the iron firmly for approximately one minute but check to make sure the paper isn't starting to scorch. You can use a dry iron. I prefer to use a steam iron. Peel the paper off while it is still warm, but it does help to allow it to cool a bit so the transfer is well adhered to the fabric.

Then I use iron on laminate for fabrics, to give the applique a plastic surface. This is available at fabric stores. Follow the directions for the laminate.

To sew the plasticized applique to the garment, I use white thread or clear nylon thread. The nylon does give a very professional appearance. I suppose you could use fabric glue as well.
