Baby Button Nose
Emilee is one of the sweetest little babydolls we have in the shop. She is part of the Button Nose series by Effanbee. Emilee is a full sized vinyl doll, approx. 19" tall. She is jointed at hips, shoulders and neck. Emilee has wigged hair and beautiful acrylic eyes. She is meant for children to love and enjoy (but collectors adore her as well.)
Button Nose™ was first manufactured in 1938 as an 8" composition doll with side glancing painted eyes and molded hair. A popular Effanbee® doll throughout the early 40's when doll wigs were scarce, her molded hair and "impish" face bring to mind a toddler who is full of fun.
The Baby Button Nose™ doll manufactured from 1968 to 1981 bore little resemblance to her early namesake. A traditional baby-doll, she often came with a wardrobe of outfits.
Effanbee's 2004 edition of Baby Button Nose™ is made from a commissioned sculpt done by renowned doll artist Ann Timmerman. This doll combines the "impish" charm of the 1940's doll with the sweet sensibility of the best Effanbee® babies!
Baby Button Nose comes in her Effanbee collector box with Certificate of Authenticity.
