Medal of Knowledge for Simon Degree

I haven't been able to determine what Simon the Degree's original medal really looked like. I think they used something that was similar to a woman's brooch. Regardless of what it did look like, THIS medal is what it was supposed to resemble. And this medal isn't a fake, it's the real thing!

Medals like these are used for sports event awards as well as educational awards, and there are hundreds of emblem designs that the medal may be molded from. This particular medal has the lamp of Knowledge on it, and the design is for scholastic achievement. The medal measures 2.5 inches across.

The red and black ribbon is similar to the original ribbon that Simon Degree wore. The ribbon is stitched in a V in front. Because this ribbon was made for real people, you will need to shorten it a bit for Simon Degree: a safety pin is probably the easiest solution.
